The Ground Operations Technician is an essential member of our tree care team. The position is full-time and requires a 3 month training process.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Wearing company provided Proper Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • Adhering to safe work practices according to ANSI Z133 standards

  • Servicing chainsaws and other tools as needed to perform daily task

  • Operating the chipper and chip truck

  • Driving company equipment to and from job sites

  • Loading and unloading equipment from trucks/trailers

  • Removal and clean up of debris

  • Assisting Aerial Trimmers with support as needed

Position Tasks & Duties:

  • Assessing trees for potential hazards and determining which branches need to be pruned or removed. 

  • Using hand and power tools such as chainsaws, handsaws, and pruners to trim and remove branches. 

  • Operating heavy machinery such as trucks, trailers, mini skids, and chippers to aid in tree trimming, removal, and cleanup.

  • Cleaning up debris and disposing of tree branches and other waste materials.

  • Communicating with clients and team members to ensure efficient and safe work practices.

  • Transporting and installing trees. 

  • Adhering to safety protocols and wearing appropriate protective gear to prevent injury. 

  • Maintaining equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.

  • Continuously learning and staying up-to-date with new techniques and safety practices in the field of arboriculture.
